These Yard Rules & Dog Admission Policy (the “Yard Rules”) apply to every person and dog at the Stockyard Social campus at 415 E. Remington Street, Garden City, Idaho 83714 (the “Campus”), including the off-leash dog area (the “Yard”) and events held on the Campus. Every visitor must follow these Yard Rules, posted signs and staff instructions.
1. Who May Enter
Until public access begins, the Campus is open to Pack Pass members, their invited guests and others admitted to a specific event. After public access begins, people may enter the general Campus free of charge; dogs require a Pack Pass, a dog day pass, a guest pass or event admission that permits dogs. Every adult entering with a dog, and every adult entering the Yard, must have signed the Participant Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement.
2. Check-In at the Gate
Each adult and each dog must check in at the Gate on every visit, using the scan code in the My Stockyard App or another method accepted by staff. Scan codes are personal and may not be shared. Staff may verify identity, membership, dog clearance and capacity before admitting anyone. Each adult checks out when leaving.
3. Yard Status and Capacity
Temporary and Extended Closures. Weather, smoke, ground conditions, maintenance, and safety closures may occur without daily refund or extension. Extended campus-wide access interruptions are addressed in the Membership & Presale Agreement.
The Yard operates under a posted status of Open, Limited or Closed, displayed in the App and at the Gate. Stockyard Social sets the maximum number of dogs allowed in the Yard at one time and may lower it, or close the Yard, at any time for weather, ground conditions, air quality, staffing, events, safety or any other operational reason. When the Yard is at capacity, entry is paused until space is available. Membership does not guarantee entry at a particular time.
4. Dog Clearance
Only dogs with Cleared status may enter the Yard. To be Cleared, a dog must:
- have a complete profile in the App, including a current photo;
- have current vaccination and health records required by Stockyard Social, as listed in the App, uploaded and approved by staff;
- meet the minimum age and the other eligibility requirements listed in the App and posted at the Gate; and
- not be subject to a suspension under these Yard Rules.
A dog remains Cleared until the earliest expiration date of its required records. Members are responsible for uploading renewed records before they expire. Staff may deny a record that is illegible, incomplete or appears altered, and may request additional documentation. Submitting false records is grounds for termination of access.
5. Dogs That May Not Enter
Intact Dogs and Behavior. A handler must disclose whether a dog is intact. Females in heat may not enter. Intact status alone does not automatically bar entry; staff may deny or suspend access for high arousal, mounting, aggression, or other unsafe behavior. Dogs with known bite incidents, aggression, or animal-control restrictions must be disclosed before admission.
The following dogs may not enter the Yard:
- a dog that is not Cleared or whose records have expired;
- a dog that is ill, injured, infested with parasites or showing signs of contagious illness;
- a female dog in heat;
- a dog with a history of aggression toward people or dogs, unless approved in writing by Stockyard Social; and
- a dog subject to a suspension or removal under these Yard Rules.
6. Handlers
Control and Equipment. Handlers must be physically capable of safely controlling and restraining each dog they supervise. Prong, choke, spike, and electronic training collars must be removed before off-leash play unless management grants a safety-based exception. No dog may be left unattended or in a parked vehicle under unsafe conditions.
Behavior. Resource guarding, persistent bullying, excessive mounting, and threatening behavior are prohibited. Staff may direct handlers to leash or separate dogs immediately. Food, treats, and toys may be restricted or removed when they create conflict.
Each dog in the Yard must be accompanied by a handler who:
- is at least 18 years old, or at least the minimum age posted at the Gate when accompanied by a parent or guardian;
- handles no more than two dogs at one time;
- remains in the Yard, keeps the dog in sight and under voice control, and actively supervises it at all times;
- carries a leash for each dog and leashes dogs when entering and leaving the Yard and when directed by staff;
- promptly picks up and disposes of the dog’s waste; and
- removes the dog immediately if it shows aggressive, threatening or unsafe behavior.
Each handler is responsible for the behavior of the handler’s dogs and for any injury or damage they cause.
7. Children
Children must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Additional age restrictions for the Yard and specific areas are posted at the Gate and in the App.
8. Service Animals
Access Rights. Service animals are permitted in public-access areas as required by applicable disability law. Off-leash play is optional and may be subject to neutral safety requirements; nothing in these rules limits rights required by law.
Service animals are welcome on the Campus as required by law. A service animal entering the off-leash Yard must meet the same clearance and behavior requirements as other dogs in the Yard.
9. Conduct
Visitors must treat other visitors, dogs and staff with respect. Harassment, threats, intoxication that creates a safety risk, rough handling of any animal and interference with staff are prohibited. Alcoholic beverages may be consumed only where and when served by Stockyard Social under its licenses, and only by persons aged 21 or older. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
10. Incidents
Financial Responsibility. Handlers are responsible for injury or damage caused by dogs under their control to the extent provided by law. Stockyard Social does not adjudicate private claims between handlers. Nothing in this provision eliminates liability that cannot legally be waived. Incident-related dogs remain suspended pending management approval, including after any required quarantine.
Any bite, fight, injury or other incident involving a person or dog must be reported to staff immediately. When an incident occurs:
Emergency care comes first. Staff will call 911 for any serious human injury. The handler of an injured dog is responsible for obtaining veterinary care; if the handler is unable to act, staff may arrange emergency veterinary care as authorized in the Participant Release.
Each dog involved must leave the Yard immediately and may not return until Stockyard Social completes its review.
Each handler involved must give staff their name, contact information and Stockyard ID, and must provide the dog’s vaccination records on request.
Bites are reported to animal control where required by law. Handlers must cooperate with animal control, including any quarantine or observation period it requires.
Staff record the incident, including photos and statements, and Stockyard Social may share the record with the persons involved, with its insurers and as required by law.
Stockyard Social reviews each incident and decides whether a dog may return, may return with conditions, or may not return. A dog subject to an animal-control quarantine may not return until the quarantine ends and Stockyard Social approves its return.
11. Removal and Suspension
Staff may require any person or dog to leave the Yard or the Campus at any time for safety reasons or for a violation of these Yard Rules. Stockyard Social may suspend a dog’s clearance pending review of an incident, may suspend or end the access of any person or dog, and may suspend or terminate a Membership as provided in the Membership & Presale Agreement.
12. Guest Dogs
A guest dog must be Cleared before its visit. The guest dog’s handler must sign the Participant Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement and follow these Yard Rules. Guest passes are subject to the limits stated in the Membership & Presale Agreement.
13. Events
Each event states who may attend and whether dogs are permitted. At events that permit dogs, only Cleared dogs may attend. At events designated as people-only, dogs are not admitted. Event attendance is subject to the RSVP, guest and capacity limits stated for the event.
14. Photography
Stockyard Social may photograph or record common areas and events as described in the Participant Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement.
15. Changes
Stockyard Social may update these Yard Rules at any time by posting the updated rules in the App and at the Gate. The posted version in effect on the date of a visit applies to that visit.
